You can cancel your prepaid reservation online using the 'Modify/Cancel' reservation page. You'll receive a full refund if you cancel before midnight two days before your scheduled pick-up. Cancellations made later will incur a charge deducted from your refund.
If you miss your prepaid pick-up and fail to cancel, contact us within 90 days of the pick-up date. Write to the Hertz Europe Service Centre in Swords, Ireland, including a copy of your reservation confirmation. You'll receive a refund minus the No Show/Lost Rental Charge.
You can cancel a pay-at-location reservation any time before your scheduled pick-up without incurring an administrative charge. However, for a prepaid booking, you must cancel at least two days before your booking to get a full refund.
If you return your rental car late, a Late Return Charge will be applied. This fee compensates for the costs of securing an alternative vehicle for the next booking and the administrative charges for managing a late return.
You can amend your reservation online up to three times without a processing fee by using the View/Modify/Cancel button. However, any changes will cause your rental charges to be recalculated based on the current rates, which may be higher or lower than the originally booked rates.
