Legend has it that this iconic festival, now in its 77th year, was conceived on a starry night when soprano Audrey Mildmay and the festival’s first director were strolling down Princes Street. Mildmay remarked that the Scottish city would be the perfect venue for a festival, and the rest is history.

Nearly eight decades later, we celebrate this visually stunning festival with the theme ‘Rituals That Unite Us.’ The theme highlights the power of arts and culture, reminding us of the shared human experiences that bring us together.
